As some of you might remember from our wedding day the maid-of-honor was pregnant, very pregnant.  Well, not anymore!  Early Sunday morning a very healthy Owen William Foster was brought into the world.  Congrats Devin and Amy!

In other news ALL of the wedding pictures are now available for download on the pictures page.  If you'd like to buy some prints you can do so on the flickr page or anywhere else.  We'll also be booking our honeymoon likely sometime this month and we found out last week we'll be taking possession of our house on October 27th, ahead of schedule.  Busy, busy!

Well that's all for now, we're off to our last wedding of the summer this upcoming weekend in southern Ontario.

We're currently away on our "mini-moon" but I wanted to make a quick post just to say that we'd actually gone through with the ceremony and we're all married up now.  Pictures and video from the big event should be available here in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!  In the meantime thanks to everyone who helped put the day on for us and also thanks to everyone who attended.  It was a blast!

So a few house keeping items to take care of quickly...

Monday morning we found out that the financing has been approved for us to purchase our first house!  It's a new home located just outside of Saskatoon in a small city known as Martensville and we're really looking forward to moving in sometime before now and Christmas.

Also our wi-fi network is now up and running here at the farm.  While the coverage area includes most of the camp sites and the ceremony, reception and dance areas please be advised that it can be quite slow since it is connected over a dial-up connection to the internet.  No YouTube watching for you!

The wedding is tomorrow and we're all really excited!  The site is nearly ready and we've been very well briefed with what we're expected to do tomorrow.  If you have any questions please check the dates and locations pages first for the latest information.  We're really looking forward to seeing so many of you in a few hours and showing you all of the preparation we've been busy doing over the past week.

Also I'd like to welcome anyone who might be interested to join me Saturday morning for a quick round of golf before the wedding.  We'll be meeting at 9:00 AM at Northern Pines golf course in Brandon on the North Hill off of Braecrest.  It shouldn't cost more then about $12, plus rental if needed.

Time: Meet for 5:30pm at the Club Regent Hotel and Casino (located at 1425 Regent Ave. West) for hotel check-in.  You can leave your vehicle here.  Our first stop of the evening is dinner at 529 Wellington Steakhouse, so meet there for dinner at 6:00pm if you can't meet us at the hotel beforehand.  Running late?  Join us at our next stop, Rumor's Comedy Club (located at 2025 Corydon Avenue), for 8:00pm.

This week we finally got around to asking some family members to act as ushers at our wedding ceremony.  They are, in no particular order, Aaron Morningstar and Lyndon Morningstar from my side of the family and Riley Phillips from Alix's side of the family.  If you're attending the ceremony be sure to say hi to them!

A little more then a week till the big day.  Alix and I are leaving for Manitoba tomorrow with my sister Nicole.  Most of the wedding party is already in the province with Shawn and Kyle in Winnipeg, Devin and Amy in Portage, Jessica near Lake Winnipeg for a family reunion and Kristen in Brandon.  It won't be till late next week that we're finally all together for the first time but we're certainly in touch regularly through the internet getting the last of the plans together.

The long term forecast is being somewhat unstable currently, as weather forecasts tend to be, with one day sun being forecast and then rain the next.  We're hoping to start getting a more stable view early next week.  This weekend Alix and I will be arriving on site to provide some assistance to our parents who have been busy getting ready for the infrastructure build out next week as we'll be adding tents, camp sites and networks to the farm along with fulfilling electrical, water and other requirements of the vendors we've contracted for various services.

Thirty-eight weeks have passed since our little blog was launched and now there's only one more week till the wedding finally arrives.  The days are passing quickly!

Hey Y'all,

So if you haven't heard yet July 24th, while also being the date of our nuptials, is the filming day for YouTube Life in a Day, a feature film produced by Ridley Scott and directed by Kevin MacDonald.  We're really excited by this sudden twist of fate and are planning to record the ceremony and reception speeches in HD to be posted here and to the "lifeinaday" channel shortly after the wedding.

We also want to encourage all of you to bring your videocameras to the wedding to record your own candid moments while at our big day.  While our on-site wi-fi network won't be robust enough to upload video or audio, YouTube will be accepting submissions until July 30th so there should be time to upload once you get back home or to a hotel.

We're pleased to announce tonight that we'll be providing free Wi-Fi internet on-site at the farm to visitors during our wedding weekend.  We'll be supporting up to 50 users connected at any given time using either the 802.11g or 802.11b protocol.

To accomplish this we've acquired a special router that includes a 56K dial-up modem which will be able to dial in to the internet when any user connects.  This method will obviously cap the speed of our connection but we believe slow internet is better then no internet and we're confident this will be fast enough to meet most of the needs of a wide variety of mobile devices including the iPod touch and the iPad along with the odd laptop, netbook and smart phone.

We'll be extending the network to cover as much of the site as possible and we'll get a better idea of our coverage range as we prepare in the week leading up to the big event.  We will be specifically attempting to ensure good coverage of the main tent and as many of the camping sites as possible.  There will also of course be Wi-Fi at the hotel we've been recommending.

The wedding's getting close and we're really starting to look forward to it!  We'll see you all soon.

Gentlemen!  Jason's bachelor party extravaganza is fast approaching -- and we want you to join us in Winnipeg for all of the fun!  Rumor has it fine dining, comedy clubs, casinos, and maybe a few fermented beverages will be involved...so mark your calendars!

Where:  Winnipeg, MB.  We will be starting with a seafood/steak dinner at 529 Wellington Steakhouse at approx. 6:00pm, with more stops to follow!

Time:  Dinner will be at approx. 6:00pm.  Arrival at our next destination will be approx. 8:00pm.  If you need to meet up with the gang en route, no problem -- just call or email Kyle and I will let you know the best place and time to join us in advance of the party.

For those living outside of Winnipeg who would like to make the trip in to join us, I am coordinating room bookings at the Canad Inns Club Regent hotel for any who are interested.  Or, talk nice to me and we might even be able to billet you at one of our swanky Winnipeg houses/apts!  If you are in need of accoms, please let me know and I will make what arrangements I can to make it as easy as possible for you to join us.
